The president of Athletic Association of Serbia Veselin Jevrosimovic and our best athlete Ivana Spanovic spoke about upcoming challenges, but also about what has been done in the previous period, and a lot has been accomplished!

Athletic Association can proudly say that "Kombank Arena" is prepared to the smallest detail ten days before the deadline to host greatest athletic event in the history of Serbia - European indoor championship (3-5 March).

Before that, this weekend, in the same place, as a unique introduction of its kind for what comes in March, Balkan championship will take place.

- Athletic Association of Serbia has definitely became sports institution in Serbia and i am very proud to be a part of such athletic family headed by Mr. Veselin (Jevrosimovic, president of AAS) and Mr. Brankovic, who try really hard to provide everything they did not have, and yet again, they are aware what we need to achieve great results - said Ivana Spanovic while was was in a morning program of TV Pink.

The best description of the current layout of the hall gave the president of AAS Veselin Jevrosimovic.

- Kombank Arena looks as if a space ship has landed on it. I can say that we really completed major work, we have completed a construction project, the biggest ever done in the Arena. We elevated the entire floor for three and a half meters, we took out one part of the stands so the Arena can be prepared for the great competition. It will be the biggest competition, contestants are arriving from 50 countries...

Jevrosimovic added that construction works were completed 10 days before the deadline and that this colossal project lasted for over 100 days. And when it is completed, new project will be next.

What is it about?

- After the championship, we will remove the entire track and we will relocate it to Cuprija where third athletic hall will be built in Serbia. Almost until yesterday, we had non, and this year we will have three athletic halls.
