Cula, as they call her, got married in the village Golobok, and it was important back then how large is the property she is going to. Her husband had seven hectares of land which they worked on together, but it was known that the elder is the head of the house. She survived three wars in that village.

Don't ask me how I survived, it was a rough time and I was young, everything was different, you had to listen, you had to do everything, I had a strict father-in-law, it was like a military with him - said Javorka Cula Savic.

She lost her husband after 15 years of marriage, but she remained in the village for children, although it was hard. There was no electricity, she made bread at night so she could feed her children and the workers on the field.

I gave birth to four, I have seven grandsons and eleven granddaughters, and one grand-grandson, that is life - said Cula.

The grandma who has over a century behind her is very vital, she says that the only things bothering her is that she doesn't hear and she doesn't see like she used to, but she feels well because all of the children and grandchildren respect her and take care of her.

- I ate poorly, and they say, what do you want to eat and we will give it to you: and now I want to eat roast and he went and bought me roast to eat, it can't get any better - said Javorka.

Cula didn't want to go out of her village, but the years are getting to her and she agreed to come to live with her daughter in Smederevo. She likes drinking coffee with her neighbors and to read headlines in newspapers.

She likes cleaning, washing, and I just go out of the house, without wiping the dishes, she wipes the washed ones, and she washes the dirty ones, I think that is what keeps her going, that work - said Slavka Dansin.

Cula rarely goes to the doctors and only sometimes drinks some medicine. She said, she doesn't know what kept her alive so much because she didn't have an easy life, but she is looking forward to each new day.
