More than 2.000 bikers from the club "Hells Angels" from the entire world will stay in Jagodina from May 29th to June 5th as a part of one of the largest moto-gatherings in Serbia. Although it was announced that it was a family gathering, because bikers will bring their wives and children, the citizens of Jagodina are not thrilled with the fact that people who are connected to crime, drugs, corruption, and prostitution will stay in their city.

More than 2.000 Hells Angels are arriving at Jagodina! People are afraid, the authorities are calming them down: "That is a gathering of family people"

"Hells Angels" is an international motorcycle club, whose members drive primarily Harley Davidson motorcycles. The club was founded by veterans from World War II, and driving with noisy bikes is a way of life for them.

The Angels of Hell club was officially founded on March 17, 1948, in Fontana, California, and currently, these clubs exist in 55 countries, including Serbia.

"HELLS ANGELS IN SERBIA"

This criminal gang in Serbia was first mentioned in the middle of 2013. The leader of "Hells Angels" from Turkey, who is in charge for the region where Serbia belongs, visited our country and he asked someone who would become a leader. Their goal was to organize a branch in Belgrade and their idea was put into motion.

According to the media then, the leader of Turkish "Hells Angels", Necati Arabacı, searched for someone who has influence among the motorcyclists and who could control the mass. The choice was made on Miljan Vukovic who was the leader of "United Forces" fan group of Rad from Banjica, the domestic media reported. They had a quick agreement, and a lot of money came from Turkey to help with establishing the biker gang.

Hells Angles have around 30 loyal members in Serbia. Some enter the group for prestige to get the famous vest which strikes fear everybody in the world, and others from interest because a lot of money comes from abroad to keep the branches alive.

HOW TO RECOGNIZE THE "HELLS ANGELS"?

The trademark of this biker gang is the "death head", skull with flaming helmet, which was designed by a former leader of San Francisco branch, Frank Sadilek. It is characterized by red-white markings. The name of the club, the country, the function in a group and the name of the city written in red on white background.

Some of them have the abbreviations "AFFA", which marks their lifetime affiliation to the club ("Angels Forever; Forever Angels").

Members of the "Angels" who committed the murder carry the inscription "filthy few". In most European countries, this label was not covered. However, over the past year, in most countries, these labels have been banned.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER?

To become a member of a club, one must have a valid driver's license, a 750cc engine, but also some personal qualities. The juveniles cannot enter the club, as well as those who applied for police or prison wardens.

After careful selection, an individual is initially invited to some club events or to meet with club members to known gathering places. If he shows interest, the individual can become an "associate", a status which usually lasts a year or two.

After that phase, he is seen as someone with "perspective", which means that he is participating in some club activities, but he has no rights to vote until he becomes a pledged member. The prospect about a new member is traveling to all branches so all of the members can meet the potential member, but also to ask him questions if they see something unclear.

Then there is some form of formal induction, in which the "perspective" confirms loyalty to the club and its members. At the closing ceremony of the initiation, the logo is assigned (the upper "Hells Angels" mark).

The final stage and the highest status of membership is "full membership". This term indicates that a member can wear a complete coat of arms, including the logo "Deadhead", two features (the upper "Hells Angels" and the lower indicating the country or territory), and the MC sign below the "Death Head" wings.

To become a full member, all members of the club must vote for you, and you have to be a loyal member of the club.

THEY ARE FORBIDDEN IN GERMANY, AND THEY HAVE BAD REPUTATION IN AMERICA

Branches of this biker group are banned in some European countries, including Germany, on suspicion of being involved in a series of criminal activities. Members of the "Hells Angels" branch based in Erkrat are suspected of involvement in cases of violence, forced prostitution, and crimes related to weapons and narcotics.

The Hells Angels club has a bad reputation in America, as members of the group were involved in deadly battles. Although all biker groups claim they are not criminal organizations, numerous members of Hells Angels are charged with extortion, drug trafficking, and theft.

Many police and international intelligence services consider Hells Angels to be one of the four largest motorcycle gangs, along with Pagans, Outlaws, and Bandidos. They claim that members of the group conduct widespread violent and organized crime, including trafficking in drugs, people, stolen goods, suspicious of extortion, corruption, and prostitution.

Members of this biker club were arrested across Europe for crimes committed.

However, club members persist in claiming that they are just a group of enthusiasts who enjoy driving, organizing social events such as group trips, fundraising and organizing motorcycle rallies. The bikers group Hells Angels emphasize that the individuals are responsible for the crime, not the club as a whole.

THE MOST FAMOUS CRIMES THEY ARE RELATED TO

In a far away '69, the agreement was made with "Hells Angels" to secure concerts of "Grateful Dead", "Jefferson Airplane" and "Rolling Stones", on a festival "Altamont Speedway" which gathered motorcycles.

It was agreed with the members of the group to secure the stage, to make sure no one was touching the generators and nothing more. They were supposed to get a 500$ worth of beer.

However, things went wrong. A scuffle emerged at the concert and it turned out that "Hells Angels" terrorized people who didn't think like they did. Eighteen-year-old Meredith Hunter died in the scuffle, who was beaten by one of the members of "Hells Angels". Meredith Hunter was an Afroamerican.

Three more people died in the general scuffle that occurred. Two of them tried to run away and they were hit and run over by a car, and one person overdosed with LSD.

A group "Grateful Dead" which organized the manifestation, didn't perform at the end because of the chaos that happened.

It is estimated that around 300.000 people were present at the festival.
