President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, spoke with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and congratulated him on his birthday.

President Vucic wished president Putin a good health and a happy life, and to continue to achieve success with a lot of wisdom, strength, and will, in his responsible duty as a president, to defend the interests of Serbia and to lead the brotherly Russian people on a firm way of progress. He expressed great respect for the dedicated work of president Putin, based on a clear vision and immense energy, thanks to which Russia has a significant influence on international relations and it preserves peace and stability in the world.

- Serbia is privileged to have a sincere friend like Russia, and you, your honorable president, because of your personal contribution to strengthening the ties of our two countries, you enjoy a great reputation in Serbia and the true confidence of the Serbian people - said President Vucic.

President Vucic also thanked President Putin for his warm hospitality during a recent visit to Moscow, because the attention shows deep respect for Serbia.

- I am very grateful for Russia's assistance in defending our state and national interests, reflected through active support in the United Nations and all other international organizations in which Serbia protects its territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as its independence and tradition of freedom- stated President Vucic.

President Vucic told president Putin that he is looking forward to his upcoming visit to Serbia.

While expressing gratitude for his birthday wishes, president Puting confirmed once again that he will visit Serbia, with words: "I'll see you in Serbia, dear friend".
