She moved to this town after her mother got married again, reports "Blic" news agency.

Her brother died a couple of years ago in a traffic accident.

- I am sorry for causing you pain, but Natalija and me are going to a better place and you should be happy - it was stated in the letter Ivana left for her mother.

Ivana's husband and the father of the little girl is working in France, and according to the news agency, he used to abuse the wife and child.

Acquaintances of Ivana Majstorović say that the family did not have financial problems nor that Ivana had a mental problem.

- The relevant data we gathered suggest that I.M. killed her child by placing a cable around her neck and then she disposed of the body in a wardrobe on the second floor of the house. There is evidence that she took her own life also with the electric cable - said Vladimir Stanojević, PR of the Prosecution Office in the city of Niš.

He added that the investigation was conducted by the associate of the Public Prosecutor Ivan Stanojević who gave the warrant for autopsy of the bodies.
