Montenegro ministry of foreign affairs issued a letter of protest to the Croatian embassy for lifting the monument for Miro Baresic, convicted for murdering of Yugoslav ambassador in Sweden, Vladimir Rolovic in 1971.

Miro Baresic was convicted in 1971 in Sweden on lifetime prison sentence for killing Yugoslav ambassador in Stockholm, Vladimir Rolovic, received a monument in his home town Dragama near Pakostan in Croatia.

The Baresic monument was revealed and its construction was founded by family and local government. 

Ulof Palmea government changed the sentence on 10th October 1985, to 18 years in prison due to "good behavior".

After the separation of Croatia and brake down of Yugoslavia, Berisic returned to Croatia and joined Tudjman's National Assembly Guards, after returning from South America where he was after finishing his sentence in Sweden.

Berisic died on 31st July 1991 at Benkovac, under unexplained circumstances.
