Chinese are mad for Serbia: Invasion of tourists begins because they don't need visa

Serbia is the first country in Central and Eastern Europe with a visa-free regime for Chinese tourists, which has received very positive response and attracted more than 100 tour operators and representatives of the Chinese economy in the workshop of the Tourist Organization of Serbia (TOS) yesterday in Beijing.

Before the workshop, director of TOS Marija Labovic presented Serbia as a destination, and her presentation has caused great interest of major Chinese media with millions of copies, such as the Global Times, China Daily and Traveler Magazine, who made interviews with her, announced from TOS.

Labovic also had an interview on Chinese national television CTV, which also filmed the entire event.

Since Serbia has abolished visa requirements for tourists from China, the total increase in the number of Chinese tourists increased by 102 percent compared to the same period last year. 

After successful workshop, TOS will present Serbia and promote tourism on a large tourist fair "COTTM" (China Outbound Travel & Tourism Market) in Beijing, which will be held from 29 to 31 March 2017.

At the joint stand of TOS with the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, under the slogan "Wild Soul of Europe", the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina will be presented and the Atomic Spa, as well as agencies from Serbia, Vivaldi Group, EuroJet, Magellan, R Tours and Glob Metropolitan tours, the statement said.
