The value of the donated funds, which are exposed on the barracks' ground and handed over to the Army of Serbia, amounts to seven million yuan

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic attended the handover of a Chinese donation to the Army of Serbia today, worth about 900,000 euros, at the "National Hero Stevica Jovanovic" barracks in Pancevo. The President of the Republic, who is also the Commander-in-Chief, received the first report and conducted a survey of the units, then accompanied by Defense Minister Zoran Djordjevic and Chinese Ambassador Li Manchang attended the handover.

The Minister of Defense and the Ambassador of China signed a protocol on the handover of this equipment.

The donation consists of 16 rubber boats with outboard engines, five snowmobiles, as well as 10 portable devices for detecting explosive devices and equipment.

Rubber boats are designed for the transport of people, special cargo, desert small groups of people and will be deployed in the river fleet and the special brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces.

The president was interested in whether the armament could be mounted on the boats and what the Chief of General Staff said on the gun-cannon.

Portable detectors donated to the Serbian Armed Forces reveal 10 types of explosives and 13 types of narcotics.

Otherwise, boats, sledges and explosive detection equipment will be used in three missions of our military - for defense of the country, in multinational operations and for helping civilian population in the event of natural disasters.

China has so far provided free military assistance to the defense system of Serbia on many occasions.

They donated IT equipment in the total value of about 1.5 million euros, based on three protocols signed earlier.

Also, this country has donated 20 ambulance motor vehicles to the Serbian government, and after catastrophic floods in May 2014, it provided aid and equipment worth about 355,000 euros.
