- The numbers we used from the Central Bureau of Statistics say that there are 445,000 people living below the poverty threshold, and in 2017 that number was 460,000. Citizens, which are classified as poor by the state, do not have all the necessary meals during the day - said Blaze Josifovski from the NGO "Site siti".

According to Telma, The Red Cross and non-governmental organizations in Northern Macedonia count the number of people living in poverty and how much income they have.

They take care of homeless people on the Skopje streets, who move around the usual locations in the city, helping each other.

There are 32 beds in the Skopje facility "Momin Potok", but, since the number of homeless people increases they have to place additional mattresses on the floors, especially during the winter, said the employees.

This facility of Red Cross has been working for 10 years, homeless people get lunch twice a week, and a place to sleep during winter.
