Famous graphic designer from Belgrade, Slavimir Stojanovic, published his status yesterday on his Facebook profile, which caused great attention. He graduated after 30 years, and before that he was awarded a lifetime achievement award. His story is truly incredible.

Man from Belgrade left a top notice to the neighbors: People, i have graduated. Half a city will come to me! (PHOTO)

This is his entire status:

"Today I graduated from college. I entered the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1987. One entire life, exactly 30 years later, after finishing the last Psychology exam, where I got 10, I finally managed to finish it. I'm likely to be the only one who first received a lifetime reward, and then graduated from that same field in history. However, this life story is not at all easy to describe in a few words.

Namely, my parents, Ljiljana and Momcilo, have been very young when they got me, about 20 years old. My mother had previously enrolled the economy, geology. They both left faculties when I was born. He started working at the gas station, and she was a secretary at the municipal youth conference. Dad tried to finish the construction faculty twice, which he enrolled in Subotica, but he did not manage to do it.

My dad is a special case. When he was 14 years old, his father, Slavimir, after whom he got his name, was seriously ill, and he died slowly for months in his bed. During that period, my dads finished eighth grade and dreamed of enrolling in the High Architectural School. He went to the entrance exam. When he returned home, he could only say to the dying father that he was not received, that he was the first one below the cut.

This trauma has not left him even since and he is 70 years old now. However, when I enrolled at the Academy, my dad insisted that he went with me and to be there, outside, all the time. When the day came for the results, he did not let me come near the bulletin board.

All I can remember is his arms and his head coming out of the crowd jumping with a tremendous tone: "Stojanovic, you are accepted!" I did not know the gravity of those words and the significance of that situation for him, because he told me the story of his High Architectural school two years ago on the anniversary of mom's death. She never finished college, my dad too, nor my younger brother Nesa.

I studied neatly and honorably for four years, and when it was due to complete this fourth year, the escalation of the conflict in Bosnia began, and thanks to the fact that I have an uncle in Gothenburg, I went there and enrolled without a problem at the famous HDK - High School for Design with professor HC Erikson.

However, after a few months of studying, sanctions against Yugoslavia were introduced, and, unfortunately, further studies were prevented from me. I do not even have to explain to you the frustration at that moment. The whole system, which I have been climbing very successfully for years, crashed like it was from the toothpicks. My solution was to be as successful as I was in business, and, thanks to perseverance and enormous effort, I managed to get in the agency "Saatchi & Saatchi" in Belgrade.

The hundreds of awards I have received since were my subconscious camouflage of unfinished formal studies. In 2003, while living in Slovenia, I enrolled at the University of Arts in Ljubljana, in an attempt to finish my studies. I got an index, but I did not go to a lectures. Then I just founded my firm and the job got me completely covered. Upon return, I enrolled again at the Academy in Belgrade in 2008, then my Olja was pregnant with Nadja.

I thought that it would be all right, considering that the future mom graduated from college, its not all right that the future father didn't. However, my mom Ljiljana got sick and died two weeks before our baby was born. There was no way I could get together and finish my college. I enrolled back in 2012 when I thought I was strong enough to do it. I was not. But when my daughter finished her first grade and when I saw her booklet in which the teacher praised her greatly, I could no longer be dad from that Nadja without finishing college.

I enrolled it, I was able to give all the remaining ten exams, which I passed with almost all 10's. I seriously did my best, I wasn't joking about everything ... I studied, wrote seminary, I learned in my studio, learned out loud... students with whom I took exams together looked at me in wonder, not believing that the same designer from television nervously holds his index card like them.

This experience definitely changed my view of myself, deepened the existing ones and opened up a completely new area of consciousness and abilities. People, I won myself, for myself. Dad, we graduated from college !!! "
