Republika Srpska (RS) marks The Day of the Republic today. After the formal defile, which was attended by numerous citizens, the audience was greeted by President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik. Afterwards, soprano Biljana Jaksic, accompanied by the pianist Sanja Colic Zelic, performed the anthem of RS "My Republic", as well as the anthem of Serbia "Boze Pravde".

The anthem of Republika Srpska is the composition "My Republic" by author Mladen Matovic. The previous anthem was "Boze Pravde" until 2008 by Davorin Jenko and songwriter Jovan Djordjevic from 1872.

"My Republic" was performed for the first time on January 9th, 2009 in the ceremonial academy in the Concert hall at the Bansko Palace in Banja Luka, as part of the celebration of the Day of the Republic. 27 suggestions for the national anthem arrived.
