The leader of the Civic initiative "Serbia, democracy, justice", Oliver Ivanovic, who was brutally murdered, was buried in his eternal resting place. Kosovo politician, buried in the alley of Meritorious citizens at the New Cemetery in Belgrade, in the presence of his family, friends, representatives of government and the opposition, and thousands of citizens.

The remains of the killed leader of the Civic Initiative were displayed in the church of St Nikola on New Cemetery, so everyone who wanted to say their goodbye from the uncompromising and persistent politician from Kosovo and Metohija could do so.
The body of the murdered Oliver Ivanovic was laid to its final resting place at 13:35

- You are not perfect because you shared your love to Serbia. I had the privilege to be your student and a friend. You bravely led club "Ktitor" armed with your knights. You fought with your heart, truth, skill, and smile. That's how you led Serbia. You spoke about wanting to be a pilot. You had the wings of the Archangel and the sword of Saint George. Instead of the airplane, you entered the world of karate. You won for your self first, and then for the others.
- You walked Christ's way, the way of salvation of Serbian people. That is why you founded "Serbia, democracy, justice". You never left Kosovo, it was the guarantee for your life, and at the end, for your fate. Not even the car on fire prevented you from going. And then a shot. Second, the third, sixth. Silence. There is no Serbia. But there is God. Where you headed to the kingdom of heaven there are no lies, only the truth! We will find the criminal, and you have done your part, you have united Serbia - she said, who knew him as a Serbian samurai, a knight, karate athlete, and a judge.
Around a thousand people walked quietly from the requiem held for him to his grave site.
Requiem was held by the bishop of Raska-Prizren Teodosije, in the presence of the head of Serbian Orthodox Church, Irinej.
Friends and people said that they can't remember more people attending someone's requiem and funeral.
- Oliver fought for justice and truth his entire life, for Kosovo and the city where he lived in. His thoughts were always crystal clear, with no anger or pity, but with the aim to always find the best solution. Kosovo and Metohija could have been much more than territory and politics. He thought of improving the life or regular people, and his words weren't the worlds of a politician - the bishop Teodosije said.
A lot of people attended the funeral of Oliver, among them were the Prime minister of Serbia, Mayor of Belgrade and Patriarch Irinej.
Director of the Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric was also present. On behalf of the Government, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic will give their goodbyes.
