REAL WONDER IN APATIN: He got a fine for using a phone while driving, and he doesn't have a CAR nor PHONE

Vinko Brdaric (69) from Sonta near Apatin, had to pay traffic fine for using a phone during driving, even though he doesn't own a car nor a mobile phone.

The ticket was sent to him because he was driving on the streets of Belgrade, where he hasn't been in the past 40 years, reports Alo.

- I was shocked when i came to register my tractor. They told me that i have to pay the traffic violation of 5.000 dinars that i make in Belgrade. I was there last time on the football game when Dzajic was playing. I don't have a mobile phone, nor i am driving a "Yugo", which is registered on my wife, and she also never drove in Belgrade - said Brdaric, who payed the ticket, because he had to drive his tractor to the plantation, and then he wanted to warn the drivers on all sorts of tricks that are there.

They told him in Apatin Police that they don't have the traffic fine registered and they told him to call the Minor Offences Court in Belgrade. And really, there is in a computer that the owner of "Yugo", which is registered on his name, last name and ID number, is listed as a violator of traffic laws in Belgrade.

- Mrs. judge was polite, she told me that all the data belong just to me, but yes, if I  want to know more about this case, I have to go to Belgrade to sue the police. I don't need that, the court expenses, long terms, lawyers, it would all cost me more than those 5.000 dinars - said Brdaric for "Alo".

He also said that the ticket was written on 6. March but he never received a notice that he has to pay, and that he registered his tractor in October with no problem.

- I am not sad for 5.000 dinars, but i am sad for injustice. The only thing i can think of is that some other driver made a violation, but he had some connection, and they found my data and transferred the fine to me - guesses Brdaric.
