EU RESPONDED SHARPLY TO PRISTINA: There is no army without the consent of the Serbs

European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic said that the Commission is closely monitoring developments in Kosovo regarding the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force.

EU shares the views of NATO and the United States on this issue. This transformation must include a comprehensive and multi-ethnic process that will ensure the support of all communities in Kosovo - reports Kocijancic to Tanjug the official stance of Brussels.

Also, the European Commission estimates that the Kosovo Assembly's call to suspend "the Brussels-based dialogue" is not in accordance with the promises given by Pristina, nor contributes to the normalization of relations with Belgrade.

The European Commission stated that Kosovo has always been firmly committed to dialogue and to further normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo, for the benefit of its citizens, but also due to the fact that progress in the dialogue represents the basis for Kosovo's progress towards the EU.
